Three Musicians by Picasso
I came across this painting in a voice thread.  This painting is part of the Museum of Modern Art collection in NYC (click picture for link).  A similar painting is housed at the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
I know next to nothing about interpreting visual art, but the closeness of the subjects and collage of shapes and colors stuck out to me.  A possible explanation in this analysis is that Picasso was communicating the use of music to create unity among seemingly diverse subjects.
